Growing & Maintenance Tips for Aconitum napellus

Aconitum are at their best in soil amended with peat moss to give it slight acidity. A beautiful use for monkshood is in borders, but don't forget taller plants may require the aid of a stake. Also work well as cut flowers. The distinctive foliage makes the plant attractive even when not in bloom. Aconitums are highly resistant to diseases and pests. CAUTION: The Roots, leaves and seeds are poisonous.
